The Ultimate Lazy Meal: The Smoothie

Well, today has followed in this week’s unfortunate tradition of extreme tiredness and really long naps after work. So I got back at 5 planning on heating up my spaghetti squash and sauteing it with some spinach and feta cheese for some Greek Spaghetti Squash! But instead I slept until like 8. And when I woke up I was, on top of being confused, really hungry and really thirsty. Plus, I have a short list of things that definitely need to get done before I go to sleep for the night and I needed something that could happen fast, fill me up, but not too full since I’m eating so late.

So voila! A smoothie. I have pre-made “smoothie packs” in my freezer… Which are just little baggies of frozen berries and banana slices that are good for 1 Magic Bullet smoothie.

Mel’s Quick and Lazy Smoothie:

  • 1 berries & bananas smoothie pack (~1/2 banana ~1/2 cup of berries)
  • 2 heaping tablespoons Greek yogurt
  • fill the rest of the cup with 1/2 parts milk and 1/2 part water
  • Blend & Enjoy

I also made a cup of coffee in the French Press, the Most Hipster Way to make your coffee (and definitely the best). We’ll see if it actually wakes me up though – I swear I could drink coffee right before bed and I could still go to sleep after…

And the mug is my awesome TARDIS heat-sensitive mug that one of my housemates got me for Christmas!

Well, like I said – short list before bed and I am so excited about bed, that I must be off!
