So, yesterday night a bunch of the people in my house decided to cook together! And by that I mean one of my housemates, J., the most creative and apt cook of the bunch, made a sweet meal for him and his girlfriend and let the rest of us mooch – though I did contribute!
J.’s dinner included:
Spicy potatoes and peppers with goat cheese and a PUNCH of flavor. (They were so spicy. But so good!)
And then divine, delicious steak stuffed with goat cheese and green onions.
You need the side view to see the delicious stuffing:
Then I made something! Cowboy Caviar, the recipe which I got from one of my amazingly cool cousins at Easter!!
- 1 can black beans
- 1 can black eyed peas
- 1 can chick peas (did you know Garbanzo beans and chickpeas are the same thing? I had no idea..)
- 1 can Rotel (with lime and cilantro)
- 1 diced red onion
- 2 diced avocados
- a few splashes of Zesty Italian
- Some chopped cilantro (but then stop chopping because it turns out you don’t like cilantro as much as you thought you would…)
And voila! A Mis-matched (thanks to me) totally delicious (thanks to J.) meal!
